"You never loved me?" His voice trembles, and a lone tear slips through his eyes. He looks at the girl standing in front of him. He never thought that she would ever cheat on him.
"You had great access to my shopping and shoes. I loved you for that, but emotionally, I don't love you, Ayushman," the girl in front of Ayushman replies, her voice sharp, stinging in Ayushman's ears. "And if I ever see you beside your money, you are nothing, Ayushman. You're just a dumb human who anyone can fool. And don't mind, huh! You also never satisfied me in bed," She shrugs, humiliating Ayushman in front of his whole college.
Riva Singh Oberoi. A girl who attracts charm and money, but is intentionally egoistic. A spoiled Princess who never likes hearing "NO".
Today is the last day of college, everyone is busy giving farewell to the last years in which Ayushman Raichand has been. In the famous college of Russia, he is studying like a topper who loves books. But his studies get in vain when someone from junior's batch tries to get his attention, she is no one but the sister of his friend, Kairav Singh Oberoi.
Raichands and Oberois are family friends, and their kids are expected to be friends as well. Ayushman and Kairav, both are best friends, and Kairav's little sister falls for Ayushman.
Initially, Kairav warns Ayushman, telling him how spoiled his sister is, but Ayushman lets his heart fall for her. Maybe he should have listened to him.
"Rivaa.." Words escape Ayushman's mouth like a small whisper; he feels humiliated, even though he knows that she never agreed to sleep with him in the relationship of two years, yet he stays silent.
"Stop it!! I am not yours, I will never be. You were just an atm card to me–" Before she can complete her words, a sharp slap lands on her face, making it jerk on the other side— Kairav, standing there with rage in his eyes.
He had never touched his sister, but now, looking at her crossing her limit, he slapped her, not because of Ayushman, but because of the way she was talking to him. Breakup is another thing, but insult is another. And she is no one to insult his best friend.
"One more word out of your mouth, and believe me, my dearest sister, I will cut your tongue" Kairav's words slip like a dark promise.
"Brother!! How can you slap me?"
"Like this" Again, a sharp slap lands on her face from Kairav.
Ayushman stands there frozen, like he doesn't know what just happened to him, or maybe his mind is not able to accept the things.
"Ayush-" Riva cries, rushing to Ayushman, looking at him with tears in her eyes, "tumne dekha–"
Ayushman's eyes travel to Riva, looking at her, and only one thought spreads in his mind: 'How can someone be this shameless?' His expressions turn into rock-solid; no one ever cracks them. He takes a deep breath, his blue eyes turn into ice, like cold. He is looking unrecognisable to Riva.
To her, he was always available to her; whenever she needed him, he was available. Maybe that's why she took him for granted. He loves her beside everything, everyone tells him. He ignores his studies for her, and he becomes an average student from the topper of the college. Just because of her. But what did she do? Cheated on him with another guy. That's what you get after loving so unconditionally.
"Who are you?" He mutters, his voice slow but audible to everyone standing there.
"Ayushman–"
"Shh..I don't know you," he feels like someone clenches his heart in an imaginary fist. Unloving the girl, once he loved the most. "Go away, Riva, before I do something that might hurt you so badly. I don't want to hurt you..." his voice was slow, barely above a whisper.
A strong shiver runs through Riva's spine at his voice. Without further argument, she takes small steps back and leaves.
Today, he gets his degree, along with the hard slap from reality.
Just destiny playing cruel games with him, unknown to the fact that now he will write his own destiny.
After seven years—
In a huge city like Mumbai, a girl lives peacefully in her grandmother's apartment. Her grandmother passed away a few months back; she had only her grandmother in her life. Once she lost her parents, when a car of drunken girls hit her parents,s and in that accident, she lost her parents. She never gets her parents' love, and maybe now she will really never get it.
"Mannat!!" Her best friend knocks on the door of her apartment.
After her grandmother, Mannat, becomes all alone, but someone stays by her– her best friend, Nehmat. She stays by her side, through every up and down, just like a family.
Nehmat's eyes shine like glitter when the door opens, revealing a short, taut girl in her grey sweat pants and short top that barely covers her stomach, who comes into view. Her hair is muffled into a messy bun,n and she has one earbud in her left ear. She always wears ear pods on only one side, and that is on the left side only; it's one of her habits.
"Teri internship lag gyi", Nehmat screams in excitement, embracing Mannat into a tight hug.
"AHH..Dur hatt!" Mannat speaks, pushing her away, "I got my period," Mannat cries. "But I know about my internship, I got an email from Rajwansh Coo" She smiles weakly,
After a while, both best friends sit on a couch, Mannat engrossed in her own work, while Nehmat engrossed in her phone, talking to her newly made boyfriend– Siddharth Thakur. The COO of Trueline, the most famous multinational company known in India.
"Ahh!!" Nehmat yells in excitement.
Mannat jumps at her own place. She looks at Nehmat with wide eyes, Kyaa hai?" Mannat slaps Nehmat in shock.
"Woh bula raha hai" Nehmat looks at him with a wide smile,
"Woh?" Mannat looks at him with narrow eyes,
"Siddharth Thakur," She speaks, her one hand on her chest as if she wants to clench her fast beating heart.
Siddharth and Nehmat have been in a relationship with each other for three months. On a dating app, they matched, and it works. They are in a relationship.
"You should go then–"
"We are going", Nehmat passes her a wide smile.
